Safety

Safety is our first priority in all our adventures

How do we work?

My Expedition Rocks operates to all industry standards for the activities they deliver. We hold a number of accreditations and chartermarks, these are listed below.

Adventurous Activities License, which is a requirement to work with under 18’s in settings of an adventurous nature.

Learning Outside the Classroom, which is a top-up to the above, but work in low level activities, especially those of a more educational value.  Schools specifically seek out this award.

OFSTED, we hold registration for two venues currently, these are Westville House and Ilkley Cow & Calf.

Mountain Training Providers, we are providers of the Skills courses that have been designed to introduce new adventurers to climbing and hill walking.  This includes Rock Skills Introduction and Intermediate and Hill & Mountain Skills courses.

Due to the thorough nature of these inspections we also see this as a great benchmark and reassurance for all to whom we deliver our activities. The inspections can be carried out at any time, but usually within 1-3 years by any and all of the organisations above, of which all our documents and activities are scrutinised to ensure compliance and safety moving forward.

With ever fluctuating practices within the outdoor industry, My Expedition Rocks ensures compliance with National Governing Bodies (NGB) through regular attendance of CPD and training courses, relevant conferences and also appropriate use of Technical Advisors, who are experts within their activity and field. This helps ensure we operate to the highest standards, allowing us the opportunity to provide the highest quality adventurous experiences available.

If you have any questions about our activities, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will be more than happy to help.
