Climbing at the indoor wall is great, but the idea of climbing indoors isn’t always that appealing when the weather is great, and the outdoors is calling you out to play, try the Family Rock Climbing. This course offers you a number of opportunities to develop an understanding of what climbing outdoors entails. With the opportunity to try some top-roping, have an abseil and also have a weasel or boulder as well. This is a great opportunity to give it all a go.
Let our instructors give you and your family an amazing introduction to climbing at some of the best climbing venues the UK has to offer. We are truly surrounded by opportunities to develop from a complete beginner to a proficient climber, and we don’t even have to go that far. So why not give it a try to see if it is something you could get in to. All climbers no matter the age, can have a go at all of the activities.

Ilkley isn’t just an abseil venue, we also run one of our adventure days here too. This is a full day of activity experiencing everything that Ilkley can throw at us, from abseils to climbs and weaselling to tyrolean traverse. What is a tyrolean traverse I hear you ask, check out the link above for more information.
This is one of our favourite trips, linking in some climbing activity with a walk around probably one of the most picturesque venues in Yorkshire. Starting in Malham we head to Gordale Scar via Janet’s Foss, where we will scramble the waterfall of Gordale. Admiring the views from wherever we walk we eventually end up at Malham Cove where we will climb the left wing of this ancient waterfall, and sample limestone climbing.
