Over the course of this half-term programme your child will develop a number of skills associated with bare bow archery. Shooting our recurves, they will learn how to don protective equipment properly, setup their bow, shoot correctly and the benefits of doing so, and most of all shoot plenty of arrows to embed this new knowledge.
They will initially start at about 10 yards shooting at traditional target faces, and will progress on to different distances as they become more confident and accurate. Depending on their ability on the final week we will measure their performance against a score framework and depending whether the level has been achieved, we will award them with the certificate based on their performance.
There is always more to learn and as you progress from block to block, there is always the opportunity to try new forms of archery, distances and many other quirks and themes.
