Charlotte Allen

Instructor Bio

Charlotte has been camping, walking and generally living on the beach since she was knee high to a grass hopper. However, she turned outdoor activities into a professional job just over ten years ago, working at various outdoor centres across the country. Throughout this time her creativity began to flourish and develop, and saw the outdoors as a bit of a blank canvas.

She has now taken a slight side step from delivering sessions, to develop adaptive sports equipment at Leeds Beckett University. Having nice long summers off, she is regularly found working alongside others to encourage them to develop, achieve and learn new skills, particularly in relation to bushcraft, fire building and team challenges. She enjoys using her design skills to create new, fun and innovative sessions and resources, gathered not just from the many great centres she has worked at, but also from her ability to ‘blue sky think’ through almost anything.
